In November 2015, we organized the first All-Round Translator meeting in Delft, Netherlands. The business side of translation is sometimes left too much to chance. ART organizes an annual event to help us be all-round translators. Not in the sense that we can translate everything but that we can do more than translate, as freelance translators we also need to perform as Sales department, Marketing department and more! The lectures are combined with network opportunities to maximize the effect.
The presentation topics were: websites (by Tom van der Horst), tax tips (by Frank de Bats) and sales (by Jan Boon). After the morning sessions we continued networking on a lovely city tour and a visit to Royal Delft. At the end of the day we gathered in a restaurant for a delicious dinner.
