In November 2016, we organized the second All-Round Translator annual day. This time in Leiden, Netherlands. The business side of translation is sometimes left too much to chance. ART organizes an annual event to help us be all-round translators. Not in the sense that we can translate everything but that we can do more than translate, as freelance translators we also need to perform as Sales department, Marketing department and more! The lectures are combined with network opportunities to maximize the effect.
The presentation topics were: Meeting your potential client in 7 steps by Marie-Claire van Poelje, Social Media: tips and tricks for more clients by Leon Tindemans and Networking: do it your way! by Ellen Singer. After the morning sessions we continued networking during a lunch and then on a lovely city tour. At the end of the day we gathered in an Italian restaurant for a delicious dinner.
